Tire for the island
Theater an der Wien [ENA] This play shows to publicum a beautiful but at the same time a bizarre world of indescribable performances, touching sea shanties, Hawaiian dances, medieval minnesong, international ladies' metamorphoses and literary jewels. This play is like pouring champagne and a smooth lake in the atmosphere of the “Hell”, a traditional cabaret which existed since 1906.
The program is musically accompanied by the Ensemble Albero Verde; Marie-Theres Arnborn presents the exhibition Perfides Albion - Exile in Great Britain in the adjoining theater museum. Based on a painting by William Tuner, Georg Wacks, with the support of his ensemble, designs the most yearning anniversary program of this historical cabaret. The twelfth program is under the impression of departure and departure. Between Gibraltar and Honolulu, Zanzibar and Mazzes Island, fish and chips and Bing Crosby, the ensemble leads the beloved audience into the beautiful and bizarre world of historical cabaret.
The story of the play is heading to the British islands and then further to the South sea. For this occasion Wagner-Trenkwitz would put on the legendary coconut bra from the 2011 Rouge et Noir program on the occasion of the South Seas theme. This play is full of "politically corrected fairy tale characters". It even has the little Ireland finale with a big film chorus including a powerful tenor solo by Stefan Fleischhacker.
